Today we moved onto the section of our chapter on the muscular system that deals with muscles as whole organs rather than how individual muscle cells are structured and contract. The first part was the PowerPoint covering the physiology of muscle contraction and the energy (ATP) that is needed for such contraction. We then followed this up with the PhysioEx simulation of the graphing of muscle contraction under different conditions. We worked on Activities 1-7. These should be completed and turned in by class on Wednesday.
We also explored the PAL portion of the textbook web site to review cat muscles. Wednesday will continue this review for the pin test on Thursday.
